Alison complained that her girl’s fingers were rubbing the creamy stuff into her skin a little too vigorously, but the woman applying it pretended not to hear. Alison responded to this by trying to slap the woman’s hands away.
“Stop complaining, Alison,” Aubrey said. “After a few moments, it tingles really nice. It’s quite relaxing.”
Alison let out a long sigh and stopped struggling. The young woman got back to work, coating Alison’s cheeks, forehead, and neck with the green facial cream.
“You know, it is kind of nice,” Alison admitted, once the pleasant tingling sensation made its way down her back.
What none of the girls knew was that the light tingling sensation was due to the partial breakdown of their skin cells. The cream made the skin dryer, and the cell changes mimicked the effects of aging.
The girls also didn’t know that while they were relaxing, the hotel staff was busy confiscating and destroying their laptops and phones – their last connection to their former lives. They were also swapping out their clothing, including their bras and underwear, with similar garments in larger sizes.
