On this issue, have you come across the novel, 'The Tortoiseshell Mirror' which is now on Amazon? It is described as a 'romantic fantasy' and features a woman who transforms into a feline humanoid, but the tone is romantic rather than erotic. It is a heterosexual story.

I haven't read that yet, no! You're correct that the placement of a sex scene often is different for romance and erotica, that's something we could have given more weight to in our discussion.
